Coming Out of Hibernation
Summer light illuminates Goat Lake and Cadet Peak. This is a recent image and accompanying words that struck me while thinking about this place.
“Coming Out of Hibernation”
Suppressed for too long under a winter’s clutch.
The beauty breathes and stirs, awaiting the sunlight’s touch
It lurks, burrowing within the bosom of forgotten land.
Awaiting for its moment to be seen, awaiting something grand.
To break the chains of a long-cold night.
And unveil the grounds of our meaning, purpose, and insight.
To remind us that even though we can be paralyzed by a winter’s stay.
The dawn of a vast rebirth is always just a moment away.
